Art & Soul Ashland: The gallery features paintings in a variety of media and styles, pottery, photography and more by local and regional artists. Art du Jour Gallery: See exhibits by local artists in myriad media such as watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, pen-and-ink, Conté crayon, collage, sculpture, photography, mixed media and more. Throughout May, see colorful paintings by Kelley Anderson on the Grey Wall, and layered, contemporary work by Kim Sterling in the Art Vault. The gallery, at 213 E. Art on First: On display during the month of May, see vibrant landscape paintings by Jessica Johnson. Throughout the month of June, see emotionally charged narrative paintings by Carol Aust. Art Presence Art Center: The gallery, at 206 N. Fifth St., Jacksonville, features work by member artists in a variety of media including oil, pastel, watercolor, acrylic and fabric. Ashland Art Works: The gallery features the work of local artists in a variety of media, including ceramics, woodwork, fiber arts, jewelry and garden art. Featured work by Elizabeth Ellingson and Cheryl Kempner will be on display throughout May. See handmade ceramics by Bonnie Morgan and digital artworks by David Leibowitz throughout the month of June. Collier Gallery: The James Morrison Collier gallery at Collaborative Theatre Project, 555 Medford Center, Medford, will feature contemporary wildlife paintings by Claire Duncan, on display through June 12-July 6. Grants Pass Museum of Art: The museum, located upstairs at 229 S.W. Gypsy Road Studio: The two-story gallery, located at 369 E. Main Street, Ashland, offers a global experience of international and local artwork, vintage and artisan jewelry, rare global antiquities, home decor, collectibles and artisan pieces and a contemporary salon-style art gallery. Langford Art Gallery: Check out the group exhibition, “NEOTERIC,” on display through May, at the gallery, 4850 S. Pacific Highway, Phoenix. The exhibit highlights 23 multidisciplinary contemporary artists whose work pushes boundaries through innovative techniques and experimental narratives to introduce alternative visual and performative art experiences. Lithia Artisans Market: The Lithia Artisans Market will participate in Ashland’s First Friday Art Walk from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, June 6, on Calle Guanajuato in downtown Ashland, near Lithia Park. Oak Leaf Studio: Located at 247 Oak St., Ashland, Oak Leaf Studio is the working and gallery space of local artist Leif Trygg, who works in a variety of media, including pastel, watercolor, acrylic and digital imaging. Phree Gallery 144: See work by local artists at the Phree Gallery, a small contemporary gallery space, located at the Phoodery, 208 N. Main St., Phoenix. On display through June 9 will be watercolor works by local artist Tiffany Wyatt in the exhibit  “Friends In The Flow.” The paintings are made with the waters of local springs and creeks. Rogue Gallery & Art Center: The gallery, featuring work by local artists, at 40 S. Bartlett St., Medford, is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays-Fridays, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. Schneider Museum of Art: Southern Oregon University’s Schneider Museum of Art, 555 Indiana St., Ashland, will showcase the solo exhibition “Underdone Potato: Michelle Grabner,” on display through Aug. 9. Grabner pushes boundaries of traditional fine art mediums along with compositional structures where you’ll find systems of repetition and patterns. The museum displays a rotating slate of exhibitions focused on historical and contemporary perspectives of art and progressive work by local, nationally and internationally-recognized artists. Talent Gallery: The new Talent Gallery, 111 Talent Ave., Talent, occupies the restored historic Malmgren Garage. Twenty member artists show a wide range of styles and mediums including painting, original prints, ceramics, photography and fossil sculptures. New works are added monthly. Regular gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays-Sundays. At noon every Sunday, artists will give a talk about their art.
