Art & Soul Ashland: The gallery features paintings in a variety of media and styles, pottery, photography and more by local and regional artists. During the month of June, paintings by Linda Boutacoff will be on display in the exhibit “Nature’s Magic, Up Close and Personal.” Art & Soul Ashland, 247 E. Art du Jour Gallery: See exhibits by local artists in myriad media such as watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, pen-and-ink, Conté crayon, collage, sculpture, photography, mixed media and more. Throughout June, see nature-inspired oil paintings by featured artist Dan O’Neil, and colorful watercolor paintings by Pam Haunschild in the Art Vault. The gallery, at 213 E. Art on First: Throughout the month of June, see emotionally charged narrative paintings by featured artist Carol Aust. The gallery, located at 20 S. Art Presence Art Center: The gallery, at 206 N. Fifth St., Jacksonville, features work by member artists in a variety of media including oil, pastel, watercolor, acrylic and fabric. During the month of June, see woodwork by Artist of the Month, Chris Anderson, and check out vibrant watercolors by featured guest artist Joyce Faulknor. Ashland Art Works: The gallery features the work of local artists in a variety of media, including ceramics, woodwork, fiber arts, jewelry and garden art. See handmade ceramics by Bonnie Morgan and digital artworks by David Leibowitz throughout the month of June. Collier Gallery: The James Morrison Collier gallery at Collaborative Theatre Project, 555 Medford Center, Medford, will feature contemporary wildlife paintings by Claire Duncan, on display through June 12-July 6. Grants Pass Museum of Art: The museum, located upstairs at 229 S.W. Gypsy Road Studio: The two-story gallery, located at 369 E. Main Street, Ashland, offers a global experience of international and local artwork, vintage and artisan jewelry, rare global antiquities, home decor, collectibles and artisan pieces and a contemporary salon-style art gallery. Langford Art Gallery: Check out Irene Kai’s solo exhibition, “The Journey” on display June 6-28, at the gallery, 4850 S. Pacific Highway, Phoenix. Kai’s work reflects on the challenges and triumphs of her journey as a Chinese American woman navigating the worlds of fine art and cultural activism. A reception sponsored by the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will be given at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 14, at the gallery. Langford’s is the only private foundry operating the region. Lithia Artisans Market: The Lithia Artisans Market will participate in Ashland’s First Friday Art Walk from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. the first Friday of every month through October on Calle Guanajuato and the entrance to Lithia Park in downtown Ashland. Oak Leaf Studio: Located at 247 Oak St., Ashland, Oak Leaf Studio is the working and gallery space of local artist Leif Trygg, who works in a variety of media, including pastel, watercolor, acrylic and digital imaging. Phree Gallery 144: See work by local artists at the Phree Gallery, a small contemporary gallery space, located at the Phoodery, 208 N. Main St., Phoenix. Rogue Gallery & Art Center: The gallery, featuring work by local artists, at 40 S. Bartlett St., Medford, is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays-Fridays, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. The Community Gallery will feature multimedia work by Nancy Sterling in the exhibit “Unexpected ReCreations,” on display through June 13. In the Main Gallery, from June 13-July 25, see a group exhibition, “Liminal Space,” featuring work by Angie Hanson, Claudia Cillóniz Marchini, and Micah Ofstedah. An opening reception for “Liminal Space” will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 20, during the Third Friday Medford event. Works by Roxanne Evans Stout will be on display in the exhibit “Landmarks and Landscapes,” June 20-Aug. 1 in the Community Gallery. Schneider Museum of Art: Southern Oregon University’s Schneider Museum of Art, 555 Indiana St., Ashland, will showcase the solo exhibition “Underdone Potato: Michelle Grabner,” on display through Aug. 9. Grabner pushes boundaries of traditional fine art mediums along with compositional structures where you’ll find systems of repetition and patterns. The museum displays a rotating slate of exhibitions focused on historical and contemporary perspectives of art and progressive work by local, nationally and internationally-recognized artists. ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum: During the month of June, check out sculptures by Drew Hogan in the exhibit, “Paleoart Through Time.” The exhibition is a chronological exploration of how our understanding of prehistoric species has evolved from the early 1900s to now, with pop-culture touchstones. The installation includes a variety of  sculptures, some of which are interactive. The museum gallery, 1500 E. Main St., Ashland, is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays-Saturdays. Talent Gallery: The new Talent Gallery, 111 Talent Ave., Talent, occupies the restored historic Malmgren Garage. Twenty member artists show a wide range of styles and mediums including painting, original prints, ceramics, photography and fossil sculptures. New works are added monthly. Regular gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays-Sundays. At noon every Sunday, artists will give a talk about their art. Speakers in June include: June 15, Karla Holland-Scholer; and June 29, Larry Hurst and Martin Steele. The gallery will be closed June 22 for the memorial of founder Ron Hodgdon.
