LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Those over 60 can join Third Act to protect the planet, democracy
Published 9:09 am Tuesday, June 3, 2025
As members of a growing and passionate community of older Americans committed to climate action, we’re reaching out to invite our neighbors to join us in supporting Third Act — a national organization mobilizing people over 60 to protect our planet and democracy.
This September, the Third Act Southern Oregon Community Group is organizing a local celebration and gathering of green energy advocates, and we’re looking for volunteers of all skill levels and backgrounds to help bring this inspiring event to life. Whether you’re experienced in activism or simply eager to lend a hand, we welcome your energy, ideas, and time.
Third Act believes that those of us in our third act of life still have powerful roles to play. We have lived through decades of change, and now we have an opportunity — and responsibility — to help ensure a livable planet for future generations.
If you’re over 60 and want to get involved with climate and clean energy advocacy in a fun, meaningful, and community-focused way, we’d love to hear from you.
To learn more or sign up to volunteer, please contact us through our website at https://thirdact.org/oregon/ or email sothirdact@gmail.com.
