Age: Katia is an athletic and playful 1-year, 1 month-old, female German shepherd.

Personality: Energetic, playful, sweet, intelligent, joyful, shy with new people but quickly opens up

Highlights: Katia is a sweet, gentle and formerly shy girl who has blossomed during her time with JCAS. Katia is showcasing her confidence and bravery each day, and is now a lively and active participant in playgroups. Katia loves showcasing her athleticism and playful side as she races around her canine friends and enthusiastically plays in the pool (yes she loves the pool, even in this weather!). Katia is a keenly intelligent pup with lots of potential, and with steady training and lots of tasty treats, she’s certain to master any trick thrown her way. Engaging Katia in mentally stimulating activities will keep her mind sharp and her body healthy, and will help build a strong bond between her and her new family. A consistent, predictable routine will help her adjust to her new life and learn what to expect, which will build her confidence over time as she learns consistency and love. While her history with cats is unknown, she’s open to meeting any other dogs in the home prior to adoption. Katia does have some herding tendencies in her play style, so any canine companions should be able to interact well with Katia’s energy.
