Tulip

Age: Tulip is a 6-year-old female pit bull and Labrador retriever mix.

Most Popular

Personality: Affectionate, silly, sweet, smart, joyful, playful, people-oriented

Highlights: Tulip is an endearing and loving black and white Pit Bull-Lab mix. This sweet, bubbly girl has lots of love to share, a perpetually wagging tail, and she’s more than happy to roll over for belly rubs with every interaction. Tulip is nothing short of a genius, boasting a variety of tricks under her belt including “sit,” “shake” and “lie down.” She’s clearly proven she can master any trick under the sun with a little training, and she’s excited to strengthen the bond with her new family in the process.

Despite being a middle-aged gal, Tulip is a lively goofball who will appreciate regular exercise, playtime and mental stimulation, not only keeping her happy but also living the healthiest life possible. While her compatibility with cats is unknown, she looks forward to meeting any other canine friends in the home prior to adoption.

If you’ve been looking for a precious love-bug to share your heart with, Tulip can’t wait to come home with you!

Availability: Tulip is available at the Jackson County Animal Shelter, 5595 S. Pacific Hwy., Phoenix. The shelter is open 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and noon-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Walk-ins welcomed. No appointment needed. View Jackson County’s adoptable pets: jacksoncountyor.gov/pets.
