Age: Tortilla, a 2-year-old male Anatolian shepherd mix.

Personality: Intelligent, energetic, enthusiastic, affectionate, social.

Highlights: Tortilla, a nearly 2-year-old Anatolian Shepherd Mix, has truly blossomed during his time at the shelter. He’s become a social, fun-loving guy, especially enjoying playtime in our play group where he’s bonded with one of our husky friends. Anatolian shepherds are known for their protective instincts and gentle demeanor. With his preference for a mix of energetic bursts and a need for low-stress environments, Tortilla would thrive in a calm and peaceful household where he can feel safe to let out energy and secure when he’s ready to snooze at your feet.

Availability: Tortilla is available at the Jackson County Animal Shelter, 5595 S. Pacific Hwy., Phoenix. The shelter is open 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and noon-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Walk-ins welcomed. No appointment needed. View Jackson County’s adoptable pets: jacksoncountyor.gov/pets.
