Medford native golfer Dylan Wu put together his fourth steady round at The Panama Championship in Panama City, Panama, Sunday to record his first top-10 finish in a Korn Ferry Tour event since 2021.

Wu finished with an even-par round of 70 for a 7 under total, placing him two shots behind winner Josh Teater and tied for second place with Nick Gabrelcik and Johnny Keefer.

Wu, who has conditional status for the 2025 PGA Tour season after ranking No. 132 from the 2024 FedExCup fall season, had previously scored consecutive rounds of 68 after opening with a 67.

His last time in the top 10 on the Korn Ferry Tour came with his victory at the 2021 Price Cutter Charity Championship, which helped him secure his PGA Tour card for the first time following that season.

Wu, 28, was able to offset three final-round bogeys with three birdies, including two among his final seven holes (Nos. 12 and 14) to hold steady on the leaderboard.

The strong showing hopefully will add further wind to Wu’s sails after a challenging past year that has seen his younger brother and caddie, Jeremy Wu, battle Hodgkin’s lymphoma. The younger Wu, who has had to set aside his duties on the bag, is set to undergo his final chemo treatment this month here in Medford.

Teater rose from the ranks for his second Korn Ferry Tour title or else it might have been an even bigger day for the former St. Mary’s School golfer. Teater carded a final-round, 5-under 65 at Club de Golf de Panama for a 9 under total.

It was Teater’s first PGA Tour-sanctioned victory since 2009, snapping a streak of 402 starts without a victory between the PGA Tour and Korn Ferry Tour.

Teater began the final round in a tie for 20th place, six strokes behind Keefer, a Korn Ferry Tour rookie. Teater, 45, made up ground with three birdies in his first five holes, and he rallied from a bogey at No. 9 with four birdies in a six-hole stretch (Nos. 11, 12, 14 and 16) that allowed him to withstand a bogey on No. 18.
