Kilkenny Court will debut its fresh look at Matthew Knight Arena starting in the 2024-25 season.

The trees will remain, albeit in a different shade.

The Oregon Ducks unveiled a new basketball court design for Matthew Knight Arena on Sunday, complete with Big Ten logos for the school’s first season in the conference, among several other changes. Kilkenny Court will debut its fresh look starting in the 2024-25 season.

The trees around the court’s edges, once in different shades of tan and brown that drew the ire of some television viewers, are now less pronounced and mostly shades of light green. More than 270 photos of trees in the Northwest were used to incorporate into the design, created by Todd and Quinn Van Horne of Van Horne Brands.

The “O” logo at midcourt is larger and in a darker green that pops on camera, the “B1G” logos sit firmly in the two keys below the free throw lines, and the phrases “Mighty Oregon” and “Fighting Ducks” are in bright yellow along each baseline.

Oregon is still “Deep in the Woods,” as the phrase along the sideline reads, and the court also includes various nods to the arena’s namesake — Phil Knight’s late son, Matthew — along with a shamrock with a Duck’s foot to honor the “Lucky Duck” foundation started by Stephanie and Pat Kilkenny.
