- More than 6 feet of snow fell last week at Crater Lake National Park, leading to intermittent closures of the 3-mile-long section of road from park headquarters to the rim of the lake, according to information posted, along with this photo, to the park's social media page on Saturday. As of Tuesday afternoon, the road was closed, with snow due to taper off Wednesday, making way for sunny weather forecasted for Thursday through early next week.
The public is invited to attend a free symposium Thursday, March 14, at Southern Oregon University about research conducted at the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument.
