June 9, 1931 – August 15, 2024

Dorothy Carmen Just passed away at Providence Medford Medical Center on Thursday, August 15, 2024. She was 93 years old.

Dorothy was born June 9, 1931 to Julian and Goldie Gregory in Coquille, Oregon. She grew up in Coquille and on Liberty Road south of Salem. She married Gordon Just on October 14, 1950 in Salem. After Gordon’s service in the US Army, the couple moved to Grants Pass and then to Central Point where they raised their four children. She was involved at Medford Friends Church in the 60’s and later on as her health allowed. They enjoyed camping along the Oregon coast in Bandon and Depoe Bay with their family. Dorothy could always be found doing a crossword, sudoku or word search puzzle, as well as jigsaw puzzles. She was quick witted and had a great sense of humor. She loved to play games and it was a challenge for anyone to beat her. She took great joy in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by Gordon Just, her husband of 73 years. She is survived by her daughter Terry (and Steve) Wilson, son Michael (and Carol) Just, son Kenneth (and Carol) Just, and daughter Carmen Vigil (and Duane Wilcher.) She leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service at the Eagle Point National Cemetery on Thursday, August 29 at 11:00 am.
