A member of the Southern Oregon Child Exploitation Team (SOCET) joint inter-agency task force examines property after search warrant was served Tuesday at a residence in the 1100 block of Crown Avenue in Central Point.

A tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children led authorities to serve a search warrant Tuesday at a Central Point home where hundreds of images of child exploitation were allegedly uploaded.

The Southern Oregon Child Exploitation Team (SOCET) joint inter-agency task force served the warrant at the home in the 1100 block of Crown Avenue, according to a news release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

While it is not clear how many digital devices were seized, they will be forensically examined to see if they contain more evidence of child exploitation.

The sheriff’s office news release did not name a suspect or any suspects, citing the fact that the investigation remains ongoing and detectives are interviewing possible witnesses and involved parties.
