PHOTO FOCUS: US military Black Hawk crew puts on a show for Medford high schoolers

- An Army National Guard Black Hawk helicopter out of Salem lands on the athletic field at South Medford High School Wednesday morning.
A U.S. Army National Guard Blackhawk helicopter landed Wednesday morning at South Medford High School as part of a day-long outreach initiative in the Rogue Valley by the military.
The Sikorsky UH-60 also flew to North Medford High later in the morning and landed, where students were able to explore careers in the military, aviation, emergency response and other high-demand fields, Medford schools officials said.
Hundreds of students were on hand Wednesday morning for the landing at South Medford High. The Blackhawk crew landed on the athletic field. Students then were able to observe the aircraft up close and talk to crew members.
