Failure to appear, felon in possession of a restricted weapon — Raymond Edward McKernan, 69, no known address. Medford police arrested McKernan Tuesday on a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of failure to report as a sex offender as well as a charge of felon in possession of a restricted weapon. McKernan was lodged in the Jackson County Jail and released on his own recognizance. 

Domestic abuse — Kristin Renee Schoolcraft, 36, of the 900 block of Winchester Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Schoolcraft Monday on charges of second-degree assault-domestic violence and unlawful use of a weapon-domestic violence. Schoolcraft was lodged in jail without bail. 

Fugitive, failure to appear — Lawrence Robert Charles Shaw, 37, of the 700 block of North Soto Street, Los Angeles. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Shaw Monday on warrants as a fugitive wanted in Washington state and failure to appear on charges of fourth-degree assault-domestic abuse and strangulation-domestic abuse. Shaw was lodged in jail without bail. 

Reckless driving, driving under the influence of intoxicants — Christopher Zakowski, 26, of the 200 block of South Plat Avenue, Eagle Point. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Zakowski Sunday on charges of reckless driving, unlawful possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, fourth-degree assault-domestic abuse, harassment, driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless endangering, unlawful possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and contempt of court for violating a no-contact order. Zakowski was lodged in jail and bailed out.
