Organizers are gearing up for a large-scale conference discussing and exploring the world of artificial intelligence, inviting the people of Southern Oregon to engage, learn and connect.

The event, titled “Rogue Week,” is scheduled from Saturday, May 24, to Sunday, June 1.

The week centers on the two-day “AI for Good Conference” which is scheduled for May 29-30 at One West Main in downtown Medford.

The conference will provide information and strategies for AI users of all experience levels.

There will also be speakers, bringing expertise from a wide range of backgrounds locally and regionally.

Speakers include John Andresen of the Oatmeal Farm Network; Peter Kirwan of MeBot AI Group; as well as presidents of local universities, including Southern Oregon University, Rogue Community College and Umpqua Community College.

Within Rogue Week, participants will be able to enjoy the culinary scene of the region and get social with the Bits & Bytes Mixer, set from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. May 29 at One West Main.

Attendees can enjoy local cuisine and drinks from businesses such as Rogue Creamery, Roxy Ann Winery and Graze Craze while networking and engaging with others in a relaxed atmosphere.

“Our vision for Rogue Week is to truly celebrate the multifaceted nature of Southern Oregon. While the AI for Good Conference highlights our region’s growing engagement with technology and innovation, events like the Bits & Bytes Mixer and Flavors of the Rogue showcase the unique flavors and community spirit that make this place so special,” said event coordinator Kim Andresen.
