Ms. Nancy Marie Armstrong (née Kindell), age 72, passed away on August 22, 2024, in NE Forest Lake, Minnesota. Born on May 28, 1952, in Medford, Oregon, Nancy lived a life marked by service, warmth, and a spirited sense of adventure.

A proud graduate of Medford Senior High School, Nancy went on to serve her country with distinction in the United States Air Force. Rising to the rank of E5 Staff Sergeant, she was stationed in the Philippines during her military career at Clark AFB at the end of the Vietnam conflict, witnessing the return and processing of many Air Force POWs.  Her time in the service reflected her dedication and strength of character—qualities that remained with her throughout her life.

Nancy was known for her friendly and outgoing nature. She had a kind heart and an adventurous spirit that touched those around her. Whether through her military service or everyday interactions, she brought light and energy into the lives of others.

She is lovingly remembered by her brothers Roy and Tom Kindell, her sisters JoAnne Mizelle and Kristine Merrill, by her nephew David Mizelle and niece Rachael Claeys and by her friend and caretaker Colleen Orde.  Her husband, Kevin Armstrong preceded her passing. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
