- Heather Wolf, patient care coordinator, left, and Joe Gatti, aesthetics director, discuss a machine that is used for the nonsurgical removal of fat at Pure Medspa in Medford Friday.
Pure Medspa, a business extension of Medford’s Clinic for Dermatology & Wellness, opened its doors to the public Oct. 31, bringing a wide range of services from laser treatments to body contouring to Botox.
With a $6 million price tag, the 5,000-square-foot facility will become the West Coast’s largest medical spa by size north of Los Angeles, with company leaders aiming to make Medford a regional wellness hub in the Pacific Northwest.
“We didn’t actually set out to think, ‘Let’s build the biggest thing out there,’ but it kind of just happened,” said Joe Gatti, aesthetics director at Pure Medspa.
The building is located at 3143 Signature Court, Medford.
The new space contains 10 treatment rooms, two dedicated massage bays, a locker room with showers and a client relaxation lounge.
Beyond the size of the facility, it includes a wide range of services, devices and high-grade technology to provide specialized treatments and cosmetic services for residents of the Rogue Valley.
Among those services offered are body contouring, massages, Botox, fillers, laser treatments, facials and more.
“We’ve staffed it with the best technology in the world, and it’s staffed by people who really know what they’re doing,” Gatti said. “We can do everything short of full plastic surgery.”
“We can bring these decades of experience to our clients and just give them fantastic results,” Gatti added.
One of the new devices and features is the facility’s BARE HR laser hair removal device developed by medical equipment manufacturer Sciton.
While most neck-down laser hair removal services take between 3 to 6 hours, the new device cuts that time drastically.
“It will do a full-body, head-to-toe in less than 30 mins, and it’s ridiculously effective,” Gatti said of the device.
“One of the things that I love about our facility in particular is we’ve invested so heavily in technology, beyond the space itself, we have the most technological lasers and options in the entire Pacific Northwest,” Gatti added.
The space’s interior was designed by Michele Pelafas, offering a calm-inducing space with luxury accommodations.
“For us, it was a thought process of how do you help people get the results that they want but also can move on with their lives at the same time of having this very nice, elegant, luxury experience that is more bespoke,” Gatti said.
