Volunteer opportunity of the month

St. Vincent de Paul of Jackson County is looking for a dedicated volunteer to assist with data entry on a monthly basis. This role is crucial to supporting our mission of providing essential services to individuals and families in need within our community, including food, shelter, clothing, and utility and rent assistance.

About Us:
St. Vincent de Paul is a volunteer-driven organization committed to ensuring that people in Jackson County have access to critical safety net services. All staff members are volunteers who share the common goal of creating positive change in the lives of those who need it most. Data tracking and entry are essential for maintaining the organization’s funding and long-term sustainability.

Volunteer role overview:

• Tasks: Entering and updating data in spreadsheets (Excel) and a simple proprietary database.

• Time commitment: Approximately 8 hours per month with flexible scheduling to accommodate your availability.

• Impact: Your efforts will directly contribute to tracking important service data that ensures St. Vincent de Paul can continue offering vital assistance to our community.

The Medford Food Project has an ongoing need for one-time or longer-term volunteers to help us feed our hungry neighbors. From being a member of our working board, to collecting food from a few neighbors to unpacking and sorting food, we have opportunities for everyone regardless of your available time. Are you skilled in listening or do you have a desire to sharpen and practice this skill? Are you a compassionate person with a few hours each week to support a senior that needs a listening ear? Come be a peer counselor for the Age Wise Age Well program and provide a safe and unbiased space for older adults to talk about the challenges and life changes they are experiencing. Can you spare one hour a week? Call-A-Ride is currently seeking volunteer drivers in Jackson County who would like to support seniors in need with food security. Volunteers take older adult clients to the grocery store, food pantry, farmers market, etc. As a volunteer driver for Call-A-Ride, you will receive mileage reimbursement and volunteer insurance. The Foster Grandparent Program is looking for older adult volunteers that have a passion for helping children succeed. Become a classroom volunteer. Foster Grandparent volunteers are tutors, mentors and friends to children. Enrich young lives by sharing your knowledge and lived experiences through one-on-one and small group activities. No experience necessary. Bring your heart, your talents and your kindness. Flexible schedule and locations in Jackson, Josephine, and Klamath counties.
