Medford residents can take advantage of Wood Debris Chipper Days on Wednesday and Thursday to help residents reduce wildfire risk around their homes.

The free event Wednesday runs until 2 p.m. and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday. Wednesday’s chipper fest is at Donahue-Frohnmayer Park, 687 Spring St., and Thursday’s is at Fichtner-Mainwaring Park, 334 Holmes Ave.

Residents can drop off clean wood debris — limbs and branches up to 8 inches in diameter — for on-site chipping. No grass clippings, trash or commercial loads are allowed.
