LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Crater Lake National Park resignation shows Trump’s damage

The Trump administration’s clumsy efforts to save money by slashing the federal workforce have hit home with the resignation of the superintendent of Crater Lake National Park. He said he couldn’t stand waking up at 3 a.m. anymore, trying to figure out how to spread his few staffers to cover the park’s needs.
Instead of the necessary eight rangers, Crater Lake is trying to get by with only three. Perhaps hearing this unhappy news will help those who have refused to see the damage this administration is doing begin to understand.
