The annual Medford Cruise will hit the streets of Medford once again on June 15.

Whether it’s a classic Corvette, a laudable lowrider or any other gleaming ride, the 39th annual Medford Cruise will bring plenty of vehicles to check out.

Set to take place all day Saturday, June 15, events will take place all across Medford including a 1979 and older show, 1980s and newer show, judging competition, a pancake breakfast to kick off the morning — not to mention the signature cruise event filling the streets of downtown Medford with the cars of yesteryear.

Beyond just the Saturday events, there will also be a Chevy/GM Show-n-Shine from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, at Ashley Home Store on Crater Lake Highway in Medford as well as the Ford Show-n-Shine from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 13, at Crater Lake Ford on Biddle Road in Medford.

Medford Cruise offers two separate primary events for car enthusiasts in Southern Oregon to ogle at the automobiles Saturday, June 15.

For fans of the old-school machinery, the ’79 and Older Show-n-Shine will draw out classic cars from Ford Mustangs to Chevelle Super Sports to Dodge Chargers. Both the ’79 and Older and the ’80 and Newer Show-n-Shines are set from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with parking beginning at 8 a.m. at Medford’s Fichtner-Mainwaring Park, located at 334 Holmes Ave.

The Show-n-Shines will also include a range of food and drink vendors for car enthusiasts to grab some grub while admiring the cars.

There will be a judging event for the top-of-the-line rides at Medford Cruise, with awards being handed out between 1 and 4 p.m. at Fitchner-Manwaring Park.

Saturday will culminate with the synonymous Downtown Cruise, with many of the showing vehicles lining up on Central Avenue and cruising through Medford’s streets beginning at 4:30 p.m. until about 8 p.m.

Entering its 39th year as a mainstay for motorheads in the Rogue Valley, Medford Cruise was first started in 1986 with the idea of getting all the local car clubs together to show off their automobiles and cruise through downtown Medford.

Over time, the event has gained a reputation as one of Southern Oregon’s most prominent events for vehicle enthusiasts in the region. The Medford Cruise Association was started soon after to manage it, with the board being comprised of local business people dedicated to putting on the annual event and show.
