The candidates will have an opportunity to introduce themselves and answer a variety of questions asked by a moderator, according to a news release.

The library is located at 205 S. Central Ave. Medford.

Candidates participating include:

Cheyla Breedlove — Position 1

Angela Zbikowski — Position 1

Donovan Donnally — Position 2

Sandra LaNier McHenry — Position 2

Logan Vaughan — Position 2

Taryne Saunders — Position 3

Curtis Ankerberg, who is running for Position 1, declined an invitation to participate. Cynthia Wright, the incumbent who is running for Position 3, will be out of town and unable to participate, according to the release.

“The forum promises to be an interesting discussion of contrasting ideas and priorities for the Medford School District,” the release said. “Oregon District 2 Indivisible is a local nonpartisan group of activists whose mission is to hold elected officials accountable and promote civic engagement.”

Ballots for the upcoming special election will be mailed to Jackson County voters starting Friday, May 2, and are due back by election day May 20.

Voters will be casting their votes for local government boards such as school boards, the library board, Rogue Valley Transportation District and rural fire district boards.
