Oregon Cheese Festival: The annual Oregon Cheese Festival will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 11, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 12, at the Jackson County Expo, 1 Peninger Road, Central Point. Low-cost pet vaccines: Make an appointment for your pet to get vaccinated and licensed at the Jackson County Animal Shelter, 5595 S. Pacific Highway, Phoenix, the third Saturday of each month. This drive-thru, appointment-only clinic is open to dogs and cats, as well as puppies and kittens. Vaccinations available for dogs are rabies and distemper/parvo booster. Vaccinations available for cats are rabies and distemper/rhino/calici booster. No nail trimming done.
